September 30, 2025 (ATLANTA, GA) – The Association for Dental Safety (ADS) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Anna Nelson, CDA, RDA, MA Scholarship.

Established in memory of Anna Nelson — a leader in dental assisting and infection control — the scholarship honors her commitment to advancing dental assistants’ knowledge of guidelines, regulations, and best practices to prevent disease transmission in dental care settings.

“Dental assistants play a vital role in keeping their patients and team members safe,” said ADS Executive Director Michelle Lee, CPC. “We are honored to continue this scholarship in Ms. Nelson’s memory and support educational opportunities for dental assistants.”

Applications are open through October 13, and selected recipients will be notified in late October. Applicants must meet several eligibility requirements, including currently working as a dental assistant. The scholarship award includes a complimentary year of ADS Premium Membership and free registration for the 2026 ADS Dental Infection Control Boot Camp.

Boot Camp is an intensive course designed to empower and educate participants. It blends real-world infection prevention with the latest CDC guidelines, OSHA standards, and proven dental safety best practices.

Boot Camp participation fulfills education requirements for two dental infection prevention and control certifications:

Boot Camp registration opens in October. Learn more at MyADS.org/boot-camp.
